HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM TOWN MANAGER ALVIN D. SCHWAPP, JR.
Happy New Year, Bloomfield!
As we welcome a new year, I want to extend my sincere best wishes to you and your families for a healthy, prosperous, and fulfilling year ahead. A new year offers us the opportunity to reflect on where we have been, appreciate how far we have come, and renew our commitment to the future we are building together.
In 2026, the Town of Bloomfield remains firmly committed to open, transparent, and timely communication. Clear and honest communication is the foundation of public trust, and it is essential to ensure that our residents remain informed, engaged, and confident in the work of their local government. This year, we will continue to strengthen how we share information, explain decisions, and provide access to accurate and meaningful updates about town initiatives, services, and priorities.
Bloomfield’s strength lies in its people; our residents, businesses, volunteers, boards, commissions, and dedicated municipal staff. Together, we share a common objective: creating a community where everyone can succeed. Whether through responsible fiscal management, thoughtful planning, responsive services, or community engagement, our focus remains on delivering outcomes that improve quality of life for all who call Bloomfield home.
As we move forward, let us approach the year with optimism, collaboration, and purpose. Challenges will arise, but by working together with integrity and respect, we can continue to make progress and build a stronger, more resilient Bloomfield.
